Royals Flex Muscles In Win Over Tigers

Salvador Perez, Alcides Escobar, and Alex Gordon all homered in leading the Kansas City Royals to a 9-5 win over the Tigers Monday night, slowing Detroit's drive to the American League Central title.

The Tigers' Max Scherzer was denied his 14th win by the Royals.

Miguel Cabrera had three hits and an RBI for Detroit
