Verlander Flirts With No-No Again As Tigers Take Division Lead

Justin Verlander struck out twelve and took a no hitter into the eighth inning, finishing with a two hit shuout as the Tigers blanked the Cleveland Indians 4-0 Tuesday night to take over first place in the American League Central division.

Verlander lost his no hitter when Orlando Cabrera singled to center with one out in the eighth.

Andy Dirks had three hits and drove in two runs for the Tigers, who have now won twelve of their last 16 games.
