Dance for the Detroit Pistons in 2008-09

The Detroit Pistons dance team Automotion will be hosting auditions for selected team members for the 2008-09 season on Monday, July 28 beginning promptly at 3:30 p.m. at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Automotion dancers will serve as ambassadors to the Pistons and will represent the organization both on and off the court for the 2008-09 season. Selected finalists will be asked to return on July 29 for interviews and final dance rounds.
Candidates are encouraged to attend a PRE-audition clinic on Monday, July 21 from 5:30 to 8:00 at The Palace. Go to www.pistons.com for all the PRE-audition details and to register for the auditions

Female candidates must be 19 or older by October 1, 2008 and are required to show proof of ID along with their registration. There is a $25.00 registration fee. The fee includes the auditions, the PRE-audition clinic and a ticket to a select Pistons game during the 2008-09 season. Choreography will be provided by the audition staff and dancers are encouraged to wear dance tops, shorts and tights – dress to impress. See the Pistons website for more details.

Candidates are encouraged to bring a business/entertainment resume and must have a strong work ethic. Candidates should have strong business and communication skills as a complement to their dancing abilities. Automotion team members are required to dance during every Pistons home game and to represent the organization throughout the year at various team and charity functions. A flexible schedule is a must for selected dancers.
