We’re proud to announce that STATE CHAMPS! High School Sports Show will be returning for the 2007 calendar year… new day…new time. Beginning January 13th…every Saturday morning you can get your STATE CHAMPS! fix at 11:30 am…and only on My TV 20 - Detroit. The series longtime feature reporter Lorne Plant will host STATE CHAMPS!

We greatly appreciate all the letters that we have received over the last year to get STATE CHAMPS! back on the air. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to our new sponsors. STATE CHAMPS! is presented by the Mobile Lounge…where each and every week we will host a segment from the Mobile Lounge locations in Birmingham and Oakland Mall.

The Mobile Lounge will also be the sponsor of the “School Spirit Award” that honors area high schools and concludes with a trophy presentation to the student body. Capital Mortgage Funding returns with the “Coach of the Week” that includes the Scholarship award program where we hand out five (10) $1,000 scholarships to deserving student athletes. Wireless Giant wants YOU to get involved in deciding the best highlight of the week with our “Text the Top Play Challenge”! Your votes determine the best of the bunch. Henry Ford Health Systems will have a health performance segment.

We’ll have tips from ACL prevention, performance enhancement, injury rehabilitation, etc. Every week we’ll award the Wendy’s Student Athlete of the Week. Also, there will be a mentoring minute brought to you by Central Michigan University. We’ll have advice on college applications, testing, transitioning, athletics and much more . Plus…we welcome back “the guru of high school sports”…Detroit News beat-writer Tom Markowski.

Currently plans are in place to create "the ULTIMATE high school sports experience". Through our website…www.statechamps.tv… we will supplement the half-hour television program with streaming video, monthly newsletters, recruit alerts, and much, much more!
