Grandma Loves Her Bad Boys

My mother is a hard core Piston’s fan. Even though she puts in 16 hour workdays and starts her shift at 4:00 a.m., she stays up late to watch her beloved team, never missing a game. Oh, and don’t bother interrupting my mother when her boys are on T.V., she will give you a dose of the Italian evil eye! My mother is a true die hard fan and she has managed to convert everyone into becoming a Piston’s fan starting with her grandkids. When the grandkids are over, all they want to know from their Nonna is... “will there be a Piston’s game on T.V. tonight?”. I remember presenting my mother with her first pair of tickets to a live Piston’s game. The joy and delight on her face as she put her reading glasses on just to be certain she was looking at a pair of Pistons tickets was priceless. In fact, the attached video is my mother attending her first Piston’s game, happily singing…”It’s my birthday, I got to see the Piston’s”. I love my mother and I know in my heart how special it would be for her to attend a playoff game. She works hard as a single parent of four and attending a playoff game would be a moment mom would talk about for a lifetime. I hope we can make it possible because grandma really loves her Bad Boys and definitely takes the title of Ultimate Piston’s Fan quite seriously!
