Detroit, MI –June 04, 2009- Detroit City Council Candidate ,Tamika Louise Gaines, offers solace to all 39 Detroit City Council candidates that were disqualified from the ballot in the August 4 primary. Gaines is actively seeking and recruiting the former candidates to join her New Direction Campaign Team.
Gaines believes that though the candidates were disqualified, they can still be a catalyst in moving Detroit in a new direction.
The former candidates can begin volunteering today or formally register as a volunteer at the June 19 event, “Suits and Stilettos” to be held at The Knights of Columbus.
Detroit residents and supporters are invited to celebrate with Tamika Louise Gaines, as she hosts Michigan’s most sophisticated networking mixer, “Suits and Stilettos” on Friday, June 19, 2009 from 9pm-2am. Join Candidate Gaines for fundraising, networking and conversation with the professional crowd. Gaines will greet supporters and use this opportunity to explain her strategy for moving Detroit in a new direction.
