American actress turned activist Alyssa Milano is pledging to spread holiday cheer to children in Flint, Michigan this year.

Milano tweeted Friday night that she is giving up her birthday to help "children struggling in Flint, Michigan" receive toys this holiday season.

"Flint water crisis is not over even though the federal water assistance they were receiving has stopped," Milano says on her donation page. "And 60% of children in Flint live below the poverty line."

The actress has partnered with Toys for Tots and so far has raised more than her $20,000 goal.
