The U.S. is projected to spend that much on Halloween candy this year. Leaders in the candy industry say online sales of candy have increased 15 percent (last numbers were 2014-2015). Dark chocolate and chocolate-covered fruit have increased in popularity.

Which candy is your state's favorite? This map shows a breakdown of the most pounds purchased in each state. In Ohio, people are buying up Blow Pops. Alabama and New Mexico are loving some candy corn. California has purchased more than 1,2 million pounds of M&M's, and Florida is Team Skittles all the way.
