Lady Jane's surprises Detroit elementary school students with new playscape

Lady Jane's nonprofit, Wicked Awesome Wishes, surprised students at a Detroit elementary school earlier this week with a new playscape.

The Coleman A. Young Elementary School and its more than 500 students were surprised on Tuesday with the new playscape, valued at $40,000, by Lady Jane's CEO Chad Johnson and a special guest, Detroit Lions DB Darius Slay.

"What we needed was a place for the kids to play and be active," Principal Melissa Scott said. "It's part of them living a healthy lifestyle, and for us, pushing that healty lifestyle, it's abou thtem having something to do when they're outside."
