A "Modern Family" star has surpassed a "Big Bang Theory" star in earnings as she takes the title of top-paid.

Sofia Vergara out-earned Jim Parsons by $14 million, Forbes reports. Vergara's annual earnings are at $41.5 million, and Parson's are at $27.5 million.

 

The actor's income stems mostly from "Modern Family," but Vergara also brings home dollars from deals with multiple brands, including Pepsi and CoverGirl. She has also been the face of Head & Shoulders. 

The actor has a perfume partnership with Avon and helped design the SharkNinja, a coffee machine, among other ventures.

The next highest paid female TV actor is on "The Big Bang Theory" — it's Kaley Cuoco with $26 million.

Tying for third on the list are "Grey's Anatomy" lead Ellen Pompeo and "The Mindy Project" star Mindy Kaling, with $13 million each.  The rest of the list includes:

6th highest: Julie Bowen, $12 million
7th highest: Kerry Washington
8th highest: Priyanka Chopra, Quantico
9th highest: Robin Wright, House of Cards
10th highest: Pauley Perrette, NCIS
