4-month-old baby found unresponsive in Detroit home

DETROIT — A 4-month-old baby has been pronounced dead after police found the body in a Detroit home on Thanksgiving morning.

Officers responded to the home in the 5900 block of University Place around 7 a.m. Thursday to find the 4-month-old unresponsive. The baby was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Right now, there are no signs of trauma or foul play, police say. The Medical Examiner’s office will determine the cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
