A man is accused of assaulting his son's flag football coach during a game last weekend in New Jersey.

Peter Iappelli, 50, allegedly put a 16-year-old football coach in a chokehold during his son's game at a middle school in Westwood, New Jersey, according to NJ.com.

The players in the game ranged from 6 to 12 years old.

Iappelli allegedly got mad about some decisions made by the teen coach during the game, leading to the alleged assault.

NJ.com reported that other parents in attendance "pried Iappelli off the coach and chased him from the game."

The coach was later treated at a hospital for neck pain.

Iappelli was not arrested but is charged with assault and disorderly conduct, for which he has to appear in court later this month.
