A 58-year-old Jupiter, Florida woman was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after trying to run over her son-in-law, who she said she had an affair with.

Palm Beach Gardens police said they saw the suspect, Kathleen Davis, trying to run over the man in her Mercedes-Benz on Sept. 20.

Investigators said she told them she had an affair with her son-in-law and that he then told his wife.

Davis told police the affair ruined her relationship with her daughter. Davis was later released on bond.

The victim said Davis threw multiple eggs at his residence and vehicles and made multiple turns in his yard while in her car. The man said he was afraid for his life, and the car almost hit him multiple times.

Police said Davis told them she wanted to run him over and wanted him to die.
