The city confirms the death is being investigated as a homicide.

According to the city, officers were called to Woodland Hills Park located at 26655 Farmington Road around 4 p.m. Sunday on a report of a body found on a trail.

Officials say the victim is a 64-year-old male resident of Farmington Hills.

“It's a surprise because it's a quiet neighborhood. I mean, nothing that you hear about often and we don't see any movement in the back in the park, nothing,” Marcelo Marks said.

Marks’ home back up to the park.

“I am with my kids playing outside, my grandson and we never saw anything strange or anything that particular that caught my attention, so it's a big surprise. I hope that they can find out what happened,” Marks said.

“Well, it’s in my backyard, so it’s a little bothersome,” Brian Richard, another resident, said.

Anyone with information related to this incident or who visited the park between 1 and 3 p.m. on May 3 is asked to contact the Farmington Hills Police Department at 248-871-2610.
