TROY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Troy police say John R Road is closed in both directions between Big Beaver and Maple Road due to a gas main break.
The break is reportedly in a six-inch main.
It's unclear at this point what caused the break. People are being asked to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
Consumers Energy is responding to the scene. There is currently no timetable for how long the repair may take.
