A new partnership between Wayne and Oakland counties is expected to be announced on Thursday that will help fight the opioid epidemic in the state of Michigan.

We haven't had a peak behind the curtain to see what they plans are but we know the executives of both counties, Warren Evans for Wayne and L. Brooks Patterson for Oakland, will be at the press conference today.
The announcement comes not long after Warren Mayor Jim Fouts hatched his plan to tackle the crisis by giving an incentive to anyone who turns over drug tips leading to searches or arrests.
That program is called PAID, or People Against Illegal Drugs and the city will pay up to $500 for tips that can stay anonymous.
All three counties have seen a drastic increase in opioid deaths of the past handful of years.
